Hi everyone!

On Monday, 8/7, at 5pm Pacific time, Dark World, our first new event, went live! The Dark World is a map-based mode, similar to the Starcade; however, unlike the Starcade, the Dark World features infinite floors that progressively increase in difficulty as you delve deeper into the darkness.

Dark World is a 7-day event that offers daily login rewards for each day you play, so make sure to participate every day.

As you play, you’ll also earn Event Points. Try to get as many Event Points as possible so you can then exchange for the ultimate weekly reward: a piece of Elite Gear!

Additionally, there are Solo and Guild Leaderboards that will reward you based on your position at the end of the week.

To learn more about this event, check out our Dark World FAQ below!

What is the Dark World?

The Dark World is a map-based mode, similar to the Starcade. Unlike the Starcade, the Dark World has infinite floors, and will continuously increase in difficulty as you progress deeper into the darkness.

What types of encounters are there?

In the Dark World, you won’t find mercy: the only encounters are battles and the ever-helpful Merchbot.

Why should I battle?

Defeating Easy or Hard Enemies provides you with Power Ups, similar to the Starcade, which makes you more and more powerful as you progress.

However, defeating Minibosses or Bosses rewards you with a Curse. A Curse is a special type of item unique to the Dark World. Curses increase your Event Points earned, but they also weaken your team. Choose your Curses wisely to maximize your Event Point benefit but minimize your team’s impact!

My Heroes died, what can I do?

You get 1 free opportunity to Revive All Heroes every day. Once you’ve used this up, you can optionally choose to Revive up to 2 more times by using Gems.

I’m stuck, what can I do?

If you’re stuck even after Reviving, try heading to the Event Store and using a Dark World Boost! Summoning more Heroes is always a good option as well since you may be able to Evolve your Heroes afterwards.

How long does the Dark World last?

The Dark World lasts for 1 week.

What do I get for playing?

Defeating enemies and clearing entire Floors will reward you with Event Points, which you must earn to claim valuable Event Point Rewards and to place on the Solo and Guild Leaderboards.

How do I earn more Event Points?

You’ll earn more Event Points for fighting harder battles, so don’t avoid the tough battles! In addition, you’ll get a big bonus of Event Points at the end of every floor. As you progress to higher and higher floors, Event Point rewards for all encounters will increase as well.

How do Login Rewards work?

You will receive 1 reward per day that you log in for the Event. If you want to claim all 7 Login Rewards, make sure to log in for each day of the Event!

How do Event Point Rewards work?

As you earn Event Points, you’ll unlock valuable Event Point rewards. Earn more and more Event Points to claim the highest reward: The featured Elite Gear for the week!

How does the Event Pass Work?

Both the Login Rewards and Event Point Rewards have a second column of Gem rewards that can be unlocked by purchasing the Event Pass. The Event Pass is a unique opportunity to earn Gems at a highly discounted rate!

How does the Solo Leaderboard work?

The Solo Leaderboard tracks every individual player’s Event Points. At the end of the Dark World, you will earn rewards based on your placement on the Leaderboard.

How does the Guild Leaderboard work?

The Guild Leaderboard tracks the sum of all Event Points for players within a Guild and pits Guilds against each other. At the end of the Dark World, every member in your Guild will earn the same rewards based on your Guild’s placement on the Leaderboard.
